He gave a talk at my school – it was pretty interesting, and I agreed with a lot of what he said. He was pretty funny, but also very defensive… or maybe defensive isn’t the right word. Whenever someone questioned or challenged him he became excessively agitated and basically interrupted and argued the person down in an alienating manner that actually made me want to disagree with him. For a cause that needs people united, I think that’s kind of unfortunate.
It was amazing to see such a legendary figure in the campaign for women’s rights speak in person. She’s done so much, and the opportunity to speak with her was really an honor.
